POINTS

HIGH POINT OF THE DAY & HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR:

  • All riders are given points for placing in all classes (with the exception of a few indicated on the forms). The point system is 7,5,4,3,2, for placing 1st thru 5th.

  • Awards are presented to horse/rider combination.

  • All participants are eligible for the High Point Champion of the Division awards.

  • Year-end points are accumulated only to full members and members in good standing.

  • Year-end points are only awarded once full membership has been received. Points are not retroactive if someone converts day membership to a full membership.

  • You must have participated in at least 3 of the 5 shows to qualify for year end awards.

  • If the competitor enters more than one horse or pony points will be accumulated separately.

The classes that will be included for each division are:

HIGH POINT PONY

  • Showmanship

  • Pony Pleasure

  • Pony Command

  • Pony Equitation

 

HIGH POINT WALK/TROT

  • Showmanship

  • W/T Pleasure

  • W/T Command

  • W/T Equitation

*Walk/ Trot maybe divided into horse and pony divisions if the number of horses justifies it.

 

HIGH POINT NOVICE (12 & Under / 13 & Over)

  • Showmanship

  • Novice Pleasure

  • Novice Command

  • Novice Equitation

NOVICE: This division may be separated into 2 age categories if more than 10 riders are entered.

 

 HIGH POINT ENGLISH YOUTH

As command and showmanship are combined English & Western, riders will need to specify which they are showing under for the points.

  • Showmanship

  • Youth English Pleasure

  • Youth English Equitation

  • Youth Command

 

HIGH POINT WESTERN YOUTH  

As command and showmanship are combined English & Western, riders will need to specify which they are showing under for the points.

 HIGH POINT ENGLISH ADULT

Numerous other awards to be presented at the banquet

 

PAID CLASSES:

Classes are only paid if 9 or more riders are IN THE RING.

 

Where the entry fee is 5$ the distribution is:

  • $15.00 for 1st place

  • $10.00 for 2nd place

  • $ 5.00 for 3rd place

 

Where the entry fee is $7 the distribution is:

  • $25.00 for 1st  place

  • $15.00 fro 2nd place

  • $10.00 for 3rd place

 

The following are payable classes:

  • All showmanship classes

  • Open, adult, youth, novice & pony pleasures

  • Open, adult, youth, novice & pony commands

  • English hunter under saddle

  • Pony, Low and Open Hunter Stake Over Fences

  • Western pattern class

  • Jack Benny.

 *NOTE : Prize money for the Open Division will have an add-back of $2.00 per entry over & above the regular prize money of $25/$15/$10

 

The following classes are NOT payable:

  • All equitation/horsemanship classes

  • All pony walk trot classes

  • All horse walk trot classes

  • Lead line

  • Partners pleasure

  • Pairs

  • Apple dunking
