Welcome to Cumberland Village Health Care!

We are a community-focused primary care clinic that opened in September 2023. Currently we have five Primary Care Providers, all of whom are female Nurse Practitioners. We are actively onboarding patients and to best serve our community, two more Primary Care Providers will be joining our practice in early summer 2024.

All patients are being pulled from the Comox Valley Health Connect Registry. If you are a resident of the Comox Valley or Comox Valley Regional District and do not have a Primary Care Provider, you can register for the Health Connect Registry Waitlist online at https://www.healthlinkbc.ca/health-connect-registry/comox-valley or by calling 811. Please note we are not accepting walk-in or phone registration requests, transfers from other local providers, and we do not have a waitlist.

Cumberland Village Health Care is part of the Comox Valley Primary Care Network, which means our Primary Care Providers work alongside Allied Healthcare Providers as part of our team-based care model. Allied Healthcare Providers may include a registered nurse, social worker, dietitian, mental health clinician, and clinical pharmacist. Patients of our clinic can be referred to our in-house Allied Healthcare Providers at no cost. Currently we have a registered dietitian and a registered social worker part time in our clinic. A registered nurse and a mental health clinician will be joining us in the near future as we continue to grow.

Our Story

The Beaufort Family Health Society, based in Cumberland BC, is a non-profit society formed in 2022, in response to the absence of primary care services in our community.

With the support and leadership of the municipality, a group of interested citizens formed a volunteer board to design and open a community-focused clinic.

The clinic opened in September 2023, and the society continues to identify how it can positively impact the community by connecting residents to interdisciplinary health care.

Cumberland and surrounding communities are connected to integrated, comprehensive primary health care.
