Cumberland Village Health Care is listed as a Disaster First Aid Station within the Comox Valley

In the event of a major disaster, designated medical clinics in the area will act as Disaster First Aid Stations (DFAS). These stations are activated upon request by the Comox Valley Emergency Program or during clear crises, such as a severe earthquake, to provide first aid and basic medical care to the public in the event of a major disaster.

These clinics were chosen based on their seismic resilience, geographic location, closeness to a pharmacy and ability to respond in a crisis. Other clinics may be added in the future.

Currently there are 6 DFAS clinics (listed below and linked information pamphlet).
